Philly Cheese Steak Sub
Clearly someone has not brushed up on what a Philly should be. With diced tomatoes, salad mix , and choice of dressing, it’s strange why this would be the default option for their sandwiches at Roman Delight.
With that said, the rest of the elements of this sandwich exceeded the expectations I had for a sandwich coming from a typical shopping mall “pizzeria”. The meat was freshly grilled, tender and its seasons were in balance. The cheese they used was surprising/not surprisingly mozzarella and was melted and stretchy, adding an element of challenge and spectacle with each bite! And the bread spent a few wonderful moments in the pizza oven forming the best “toast” of any of the philly’s I have had so far!
In short, despite it’s glaring flaws, there are some serious solid elements in this sandwich. There is an option for a supream PCS that adds onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc. that I am interested to see how is exicuted. Another trip back seems to be in my future.
